One of the most famous diaries in the world is the diary of Anne Frank. She describes her life during the years she was in hiding in Amsterdam. You can see the diary and the hiding place in the Anne Frank House. Anne Frank moved to Amsterdam with her family in 1933. During the Nazi occupation in 1944, the family went into hiding behind Otto Frank’s business, the father of the family. This is now known as the Anne Frank house. When Otto Frank returns to Amsterdam as the only survivor of the family, he is given the diary to read. He is deeply impressed and decides to publish it. When you enter the Achterhuis through the secret passage, everything is still as it was when Anne was in hiding.
